O3SIS and Open-Xchange to Deliver Mobile Open Source Collaboration Technology
SaaS Offering for Internet Service Providers, Telcos and Web Hosting Companies

Open-Xchange announced an agreement with O3SIS.

The companies expect to release in the third quarter software that will enable Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telcos and web hosting companies to offer their customers a mobile extension of the Open-Xchange Hosting Edition. O3SIS will add mobile capabilities to the e-mail, calendar, address book and tasks of Hosted Open-Xchange. By supporting 300-plus certified mobile devices, the O3SIS technology covers more than 95 percent of the total mobile subscriber base.

"The market potential for mobile SaaS solutions is tremendous as business users and consumers seek easy-to-use mobile messaging and collaboration capabilities on all the devices they use, anywhere, anytime," said Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. "SaaS makes applications accessible and affordable to small- and medium-size enterprises and consumers without requiring technical expertise.”

“Our technology is the perfect add-on to Open-Xchange software. By adding valuable mobile services for their customers, providers will have a unique differentiation opportunity,” said Bernd Rützel, chief sales officer at O3SIS. “By offering the combination of Open-Xchange and O3SIS mobile support, providers will attract new customers with Blackberry-like business-class email at very competitive prices. Our agreement with Open-Xchange marks a further milestone in our strategy to extend our global footprint by partnering with leading market players."

Open-Xchange has partnerships with hosting providers -- led by 1&1 Internet (U.S. and Germany), Network Solutions (U. S.), JMF (Japan), OVH (France), and Hostpoint (Switzerland) -- providing full groupware solutions built on Open-Xchange.

O3SIS’ innovative solutions are currently deployed by top tier mobile operators, including Vodafone Group, E-Plus, O2, and T-Mobile -- with millions of users worldwide
